"Thanks for the rental of the BGAN Terminal WorldPro 1000. I am not computer literate and simply took things at face value, rented the gear you told me to, and took off to Indonesia. While travelling on a surf charter throughout the Metawii islands, the BGAN worked great. We could all check our email and even make phone calls at the same time. Thrane & Thrane EXPLORER™ 727 BGAN

Turn your vehicle into a mobile communications hub! Thrane & Thrane has a strong legacy of providing reliable land mobile terminals. This system gives your land vehicle access to Inmarsat BGAN-X services even while in motion. Though its antenna is presented in desert tan, it is designed to stand up to cold, hot, or wet environments.

A fully integrated electronic tracking antenna keeps you locked on even while in motion. In addition to a IP voice handset with a cradle for your vehicle, standard RJ-11 phones are supported. The system runs on either 12 VDC or 24 VDC power.

** Streaming IP data is only necessary if a guaranteed data rate is needed. Typically this means a video or VPN application. Streaming IP data rates are only assured over the space leg from the terminal to the Inmarsat POP. After the POP it is necessary to set up a dedicated line or specialized ISDN service to assure the data rate after it leaves the POP. Please ask Outfitter Satellite about the cost of dedicated lines.
