Iridium 9505A Satellite Phone (US made)

This was going to get out so I figured I would own up to it. Last week it rained in Mexico. We only lost three cars, no one was injured. The [Iridium] Satellite phone was essential.

Trucks are things. Things can be replaced. We just built a lake and had no idea that the water was already going around the dam. It hit right when we started to leave the ranch.

Iridium phones also saved me in Mongolia about 10 years ago while hunting Sheep. We rolled a vehicle and had to airlift out. Luckily the man was not killed.

ABOUT THE IRIDIUM 9505A:
Outfitter Satellite sells both new and used Iridium 9505A handheld satellite phones. These phones offer global voice, 2400 bps data, and SMS "text" messaging. G3 fax equipment can be supported using a special adapter. Voice and data encryption are also possible using special equipment available from Outfitter Satellite.

NEW US-MADE IRIDIUM 9505A FOR GOVERNMENT PURCHASES:
New units that are made in the USA are now available. They are configured with firmware version IS06004 which cannot be upgraded. If the phones are upgrades with a different software, this will void all warranties and will no longer be US Government Approved.
