The "Basic Rate" quoted is for Globalstar USA Home Service Area calls; additional long-distance charges apply to any call terminating outside of the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada. Also, there are many other areas that are supported in roaming mode. If you will be using the phone outside of the Home Service Area or calling to destinations outside of the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada, see Globalstar Roaming and Long Distance Charges Chart. Contact Outfitter Satellite for current roaming and long-distance rates. Airtime charges apply for making or receiving calls. A direct line-of-sight with a Globalstar satellite is required and satellite communication mode is not suitable for indoor use unless an external antenna option is utilized. Please call Outfitter Satellite for details. Additional batteries or our solar charger option are recommended if power is not readily available.
