Iridium: Stand-Alone or Follow-Me Paging
Iridium offers two kinds of paging service for owners of a Iridium 9501 pager (no longer manufactured).
"Follow-Me Paging" automatically sets the Message Delivery Area (MDA) to the last area from which you made an Iridium phone call.
"Stand-Alone Paging" allows you to set up to 3 MDAs for your Iridium pager, which are regions in the world in which you would receive a page. You can change the MDAs by phone or through the web without charge. Most messages will be delivered within a few minutes, but actual delivery time depends on the length of the message.
